Data Deletion Instructions

Meta requires every WhatsApp Business Platform integrator to publish clear instructions for how a user can request their data be deleted. Here’s how, for niiko:
Disconnecting a WhatsApp number (removes niiko’s access to that WhatsApp Business Account)
- Go to Settings → Integrations inside niiko.
- Find the WhatsApp connection you want to remove and click Disconnect (or Reconnect to replace it with a different number).
- This immediately revokes niiko’s access token for that WhatsApp Business Account. niiko can no longer send or receive messages through it.
Disconnecting does notdelete messages already stored in niiko, and does not affect the WhatsApp Business Account itself on Meta’s side (that’s managed by you, in Meta Business Manager).
Deleting your stored data
To request deletion of your account and the data associated with it (including stored WhatsApp message content):
- Email [email protected]from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Data deletion request.”
- We verify the request and confirm what will be deleted.
- Operational data is deleted within 30 days. Records we’re legally required to keep (e.g. financial records for tax purposes) are retained only for that legal purpose, and are not used for anything else in the meantime.
If you’re an end-client of a niiko Customer (i.e. someone else’s business uses niiko to message you), direct your deletion request to that business — they control your data. If they instruct us to delete it, we do.
